Have Passport....will travel.
In short, I had to drive 550 miles, breath in 50 minutes of burning Everglades smoke, stand in 9 lines and raise my right hand, but got it done.
Also, just checked the front door.....what do know....a Fed Ex "Tried to deliver" notice. They were told (and they offered) during many conversations in the past 2 weeks that if they overnight ed, to do it "no signature required". The Fed Ex notice said that I could pick up my "package" between 3pm and 5pm.....I don't get home until 5:30. So, if I took the gamble of waiting, I would have lost since my flight is 7am tomorrow. Fannntastic.
