Have Wind, Will Sail

(added photos) (original post written 5/27)

Saturday May 26th, Trellis to The Baths to Saba Rock (17.1 miles)

So, back from Jeep’ing around Anegada, thought I’d do a quick catch up.

We left Trellis Bay ( N18.26.866 W64.31.922) Saturday 7:30am.
Winds: 3 knots out of the NE

Arrive at The Baths, Virgin Gorda 8:23am.

We sailed for a bit, but with only 3 knots of wind it wasn’t exactly wild.

This was Josh and Pam’s first time at The Baths, so we did the full walk through. Typically its rather crowded with cruise ship people (shee’ple), but at 9am it’s a perfect time to do the “boulder hike”.

At the end of the boulder hike is Devils Bay, an amazing beach/location.

We complete the 30 minute hike and then head up to the “Top of The Baths” for some photo ‘ops. We are asked (10:40) if we want to see the breakfast menu but opt for 3 Bud Lights and a Corona.

We leave The Baths at 11:29am in a whopping 2 knots of wind for Saba Rock.

Since we are in no hurry, Josh raises the main sail and sail close winded to the approach of North Sound, Virgin Gorda. We arrive at Saba Rock at 1:34pm.

As soon as we pick up the ball, we all jump in the water. It's very hot out without the breeze...I think we stayed in the water until 4:30 (according to the photo time stamp).

Not much to report about our night at Saba. We cook on the boat and hit Saba Rock bar after dinner….well, so I’m told.
